Remembering Joey
Our first rooster passed this week. On the site he was Joseph, Head of Security — and the crow that started it all at Bearded Farms.
Joey passed away this week. We had him two years — our first rooster here, and the bird many of you knew on the site as Joseph, Head of Security.
He took predator watch seriously. Mornings were loud. That was the job, and he did it without apology.
What he left behind
With Sephora, Joey was grandfather to batch after batch of chicks. His line is still all over the pasture.
Stripe and Armani hold the security shift now. The farm goes on, but we miss the crow.
